Now is the time at Ampersand for dreaming and scheming.  We've got some great plans for this year's internship program.  Here is a bit of what we look forward to sharing with this year's interns.  Program starts May 20th and runs to to July 15.  The applications have started streaming in. Pass it on! Thanks!

This temporary shade structure as served us well but now it's time to build a permanent one. We will make it with salvaged wood, and design removable shading to still harvest the winter sun. Then local community artist and Ampersand friend Ken Wolverton will help us make it super fancy and funky.

After a day of rock work at Passive Solar Architect Mark Chalom's place, he gave us a great presentation on his work and the history of solar architecture of the Southwest.  This year we plan to take our 2016 interns to Acoma Pueblo to learn from one of the oldest solar villages in the world!
