MIT Professor and the Quest For Neighborhood Batteries

Donald Sadaway, professor of materials chemistry at MIT has been working on a better, long lasting, large storage capacity battery system that could change the world for the masses.

  It's the piece of solar and wind power that has been missing.  Battery backup systems aren't cheap, and they're a bit small in relation to what we need, so this could be just what we need to hurry up and clean up the view and take the power lines down.  Check out the video:
